The tigernut is one of the main products of the Valencian land, and it’s the key ingredient of our handmade products. We exclusively use tigernut from Valencia Certified Origin (DO Chufa de Valencia). Its excellent benefits make it a Superfood.
The tigernut is not a nut, it is a tuber. It is a source of amino acids, vitamins, minerals and polyphenols. It is a superfood suitable for pregnant women (with a large amount of arginine), children and teenagers (intake of micronutrients), vegetarians (vitamin B12, D and calcium) and athletes (mineral intake).
Moreover, it can improve pathological situations related to nutrition such as anemia, lactose intolerance, hypertension, constipation or obesity, amongst others.
Evergreen plant. The scientific name of the tree where it grows is ‘theobroma cacao’.
Its seeds, which are cocoa beans, have a high content of fats, carbohydrates and proteins, but also contain magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, caffeine, antioxidants and water, amongst others.
The carob tree is a leguminous species very present in the Mediterranean area.
Its fruit, carob, is rich in dietary fiber, it has a large content of vitamin E and B, riboflavin (vitamin D), niacin (vitamin E), alphatocoferol and ergocalciferol (vitamin D2), potassium and magnesium.
Moreover, it is gluten and caffeine free. It is a powerful antiseptic, antiallergic and natural antibacterial.
In our products you will find a lower sugar content compared to other conventional spreads. Specifically, between 40 and 50% less.
It is important to keep a balanced diet and to reduce the sugar intake. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends reducing the consumption of sugar to 25 grams a day.
